in Bangkok with almost any of our tours - in Thailand

Northern
Thailand
Chiang
Mai was the capital of a kingdom
known as Lanna, whose cultural heritage can be seen
today in the various temples, festivals and traditions
that continue to play a vital role in the regions daily
life. Interestingly, the city's original perimeter is
still marked by a moat and fortified gates. Within this
area are numerous ancient temples and ruins attesting
to a distinguished past.

Chiang
Rai is a quiet, yet historical town with a bustling market
and a hilltop temple overlooking the Kok River. The scenery
of the north is mountainous with many forests and if you are
feeling adventurous you can hire your
own car and head off to explore on your own.
A major
reason for visiting Northern Thailand is to see the many hilltribe
people residing in the region. Both Chiang
Mai and Chiang Rai make a perfect base for visiting hilltribe
villages.

Mae
Hong Son
Mae Hong
Son is located in the north-western corner of Thailand, bordering
Myanmar (Burma) in the west. It is the most sparsely populated
province of Thailand with more than three quarters of its
area consisting of mountains and forests. It is a good place
to observe the customs and life styles of these ethnic minorities.
It is full of scenic spots, including spectacular waterfalls
and caves in addition to numerous ancient temples of the Burmese
style.

Southern
Thailand
|
Southern
Thailand also has a number of marine national parks.
Among them are the Similan
Islands, famed for their outstanding scuba diving
opportunities.
With
tourism booming, the accommodation available in the
South is wide-ranging. Phuket,
Samui and Krabi all have five-star
hotels, along with an abundance of less expensive bungalows,
villas and two or three-star hotels. Thailand's beach
resorts are considered among some of the best in the
world. Easily accessible yet not over developed. The
hotels are designed to blend with the natural surroundings
and are of Traditional Thai architecture with modern
western comforts. The beaches are not over crowded and
the sea clean, warm and perfect for swimming. The abundance
and variety of fresh sea-food makes dining an inexpensive
pleasure.

With
more than 200 golf courses spread around the country,
Thailand has justifiably earned a reputation as one
of Asia's leading golfing destinations. Many of Thailand's
golf courses have been designed with assistance from
the game's top names: Robert Trent Jones Jr, Arnold
Palmer, Nick Faldo, Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player to
name but a few. International class in layout, they
are full of clever challenges and riddled with interesting
hazards. Golf in Thailand is a truly rewarding experience.
The combination of world-class courses and facilities
set amidst breathtaking scenery, welcoming clubhouses,
friendly and helpful caddies, and some of the lowest
fees in Asia, is very alluring little wonder, then,
that Thailand is rapidly becoming known as the region's
top golfing centre.
