Raffles
Hotel, established in 1887, was designated a National Monument
in 1987. It has been restored to its original splendour, and
consists of 104 suites, each tastefully appointed with period
fur-nishings and amenities to cater for the discerning traveller.
The many gardens and courtyards complement the elegant architecture.
Each Suite
has its own spacious parlour, bedroom, dressing area and bath.
The 14 ft molded ceilings, overhead fans, timber floors, oriental
carpets and period-style furnishings are skillfully combined
with all the amenities of a grand hotel, exuding the warmth
and ele-gance of the 1920's. An integral part of Raffles Hotel,
the Arcade provides a range of facilities for visitors to
enjoy: Jubilee Hall theatre playhouse; a venue for the arts,
seven food and beverage outlets, Raffles Hotel Museum and
many other shops. Other facilities include a 24-hour health
club and swimming pool, Raffles Culinary Academy and other
food and beverage outlets, and indoor and outdoor function
areas.
