Day 1: HANOI. Board the overnight train in Hanoi and travel along the banks of the red river to Lao Cai near the border of China.
Day 2: SAPA. Arrive early morning at Lao Cai station, transfer to the car and drive into the mountains to Sapa. Check into the Victoria Sapa Hotel, rest of the day at leisure.
Day 3: SAPA. All day to walk in the foot hills of the Fan Si Pan mountain. You will come into close contact with a number of different ethnic tribes whose subsistence living has changed little over the past years.
Day 4: SAPA. All day to explore the surrounding hills with its forest, rice terraced fields, orchards and river valleys.
Day 5: SAPA - HANOI. Transfer to Lao Cai and take the train for the overnight trip to Hanoi.
Day 6: HANOI. Arrive Hanoi.
