4 day Khao Sok Safari
Tour
Khao Sok National
Park is located across a mountain ridge separating the east and
west coasts of the Thai peninsula. Monsoon rains sweep into these
mountains from the Gulf of Thailand in the east and The Andaman
Sea in the west, making this Thailand's wettest area.
|
The richness
of the tropical forest flora, the abundance of fresh water
and the shelter of the mountains combine to provide an excellent
habitat for many species of wildlife - including elephant,
guar, banteng, binturong, languor (or leaf monkey), tiger,
leopard, Malay sun bear, monkey, white-handed gibbon, porcupine,
wild boar, snakes, lizards, bats, hundreds of different butterfly
species and over 180 species of birds, including several kinds
of hornbill.
There
are guaranteed twice-weekly departures of this tour with English
speaking guide on every Wednesday & Saturday, from Phuket.
