CRUISES NOW AVAILABLE

BETWEEN PAGAN AND MANDALAY
Vessel: Pandaw III / II - Duration: 1 or 2 nights
Our classic one or two night cruise between the ancient capitals of Burma. We sail up to four times a week when the vessel is not on expedition. After two years of plying this route we have proved that this is the most reliable form of transportation between Pagan and Mandalay. This product is designed to be integrated into a land package and IFC do not undertake ground handling, siteseeing at Pagan and Mandalay or transfers before/after the cruise. We do handle sightseeing at the river stops along the way.

RIVER EXPEDITIONS including CHINDWIN RIVER - IRRAWADDY
Vessel: Pandaw I / II - Duration: 12 nights
We have been running these ten day trips on the upper reaches of the Irrawaddy and Chindwin rivers since 1995. The choice of itinerary for a particular time we sell these as a complete package inclusive of Rangoon hotels, domestic flights, transfers, site seeing, on board entertainments and various other enhancements. Though we have been running river expeditions for several years, no two expeditions have ever been the same. If only to maintain the interest for our selves, we constantly vary the places we stop at. We have had a monopoly of nearly 400 miles of river north of Mandalay, not to mention 350 miles of the Chindwin, because no one else has the means to get there! We are constantly making new discoveries and learning more and more about these areas.
Nearly all our passengers comment that, compared with the tourist centres of Pagan and Mandalay, these river stops are far more interesting and exciting and the local people quite 'unspoilt'. We want to keep the river 'unspoilt' and have strict codes of conduct for our passengers to ensure that this rich and vibrant culture remains unharmed. We visit schools and monasteries and see local agriculture and industries at first hand.

Expeditions on the Pandaw are relaxed and convivial. Many passengers comment that a voyage on the Pandaw is like being part of a private house party. Most evenings we hold a briefing with the guide to discuss the days events and explain aspects of Burmese cultural and religious life.

Charters/Groups - subject to availability you can book the entire ship and tailor make your own itinerary taking care of your own ground handling and shore arrangements. However depending on where you wish to start or finish your voyage there may repositioning costs. Please contact us to discuss charter rates and recommended itineraries.
