NEW RULE FOR
ALL TREKKERS IN THAILAND
With immediate effect, for security reason, the Government requires
all trekkers to have a trekking stamp from the Tourist Police before
they start trekking. All trekking clients must prepare a photocopy
of their passport (the identity page & the page with Thai visa
stamp). Our tour guide will collect it (for having it stamped) while
briefing trekkers at their hotel the late afternoon (approx.18h00)
prior to the trekking programme.
In the case of trekkers continuing their trek upon arrival at Chiang
Mai or those who stay at the Regent Chiangmai Hotel, we advise that
they send at least one day before the trek, to our Chiang Mai office,
a fax of the 2 required pages of their passport.
