6 Day Laos Discovery Tour

Laos is a mystical land of mountains and forest it has so far escaped the dramatic industrial development that has gripped most of its neighbours. This land locked country still offers real tranquillity with its French colonial character still very much intact along with many Buddhist temples and pagodas.

The capital Vientiane, situated on the banks of the mighty Mekong river has changed little over the years and still offers an exotic veneer of French Culture. Luang Prabang is the old royal capital of Laos and is one of Asia's most beautiful cities. Surrounded by forested mountains, the Mekong and Nam Khan rivers, old villas, temples and civic buildings nestle among palms and tropical foliage as though the city is in one big garden. Our tours through Laos will give you a great insight into this ancient and secretive land for so long closed to the rest of the world.

Day 1: VIENTIANE. Meet on arrival at Wattay International airport/Friendship Bridge, Vientiane and transfer to hotel. Vientiane city tour; including Wat Sisaket, That Luang Stupa, Wat Hoprakeo and Patousay.
Day 2: VIENTIANE - ZIENG KHOUANG. Flight by Lao Aviation. Visit the Plain of jars, the archaeological site of the VIth century. Excursion to Muang Khoune known as capital of Xieng Khouang.
Day 3: XIENG KHOUANG - LUANG PRABANG. Visit local market, board the Lao Aviation flight of Luang Prabang. Check in at hotel. Visit various famous temples such as; Wat Vixoun, Wat Aham, and Phusi Hill. Day 4: LUANG PRABANG. Visit Wat Xieng Thong and excursion by boat to the holy caves of Pak-Ou, housing thousands of Buddha images. Visit local rice-wine distillery and Ban Phanom weaving village.
Day 5: LUANG PRABANG - VIENTIANE Visit the former king's palace, now a national museum and the central market. Fly to Vientiane by Lao Aviation.
Day 6: VIENTIANE.Visit Cultural Park, Friendship Bridge and the central market. Transfer to Wattay International Airport or Friendship Bridge for departure.
