5-DAYS KAMPOT-KEP-KOMPONG
SOM
| The
south coast of Cambodia offers pristine and unspoiled beaches
and many small islands scattered in the Gulf of Siam. The most
famous coastal towns of Kep and Kompong Som (Sihanoukville)
are the perfect places for travelers who wish to finish their
visit to Cambodia by a relaxing stay. |

White
sand, blue water, tropical climate, and fresh seafood will welcome
the visitor who can either choose to relax on the beach, take
a boat trip to the nearby islands, or experience snorkeling
and scuba-diving. The Bokor Mountains National Park, near Kep,
is also worth an exciting excursion for adventurous travelers.

Itinerary:
Phnom Penh / Kampot / Kep / Kompong Som / Phnom Penh
Day 01
Phnom Penh / Takeo / Kampot
Departure from Phnom Penh to Kampot. En-route, stop in Takeo and
take a speed-boat to Phnom Da Hill.
Explore the four caves with shrines carved into the walls before
reaching Phnom Da temple, a pre-Angkorian laterite tower (6th C.).
Visit the Asram Maharosei (6th C.), an Indian-style sandstone temple
constructed in a style unlike any other temple in Cambodia.
Return to Takeo by speedboat and stop in Angkor Borei to visit the
museum where reproductions of objects found in the region are displayed.
Lunch at a local restaurant in Takeo.
Continue by car to Kampot (2 hours) and check-in at the hotel. Drive
to Kep and enjoy the beauty of the beach until sunset.
Return to Kampot for dinner at a local restaurant and accommodation
at the hotel.
Day 02 Kampot / Bokor
After breakfast drive to the top of Bokor Mountain National Park.
Stroll through the forest to the waterfalls. Visit the ancient hill
resort with the ruins of the casino hotel, church and other buildings,
which failed to escape the ravages of time and war. Picnic lunch
on site. Return to Kampot and transfer to the hotel.
Day 03 Kampot / Kompong Som
Breakfast at a local restaurant.
Drive to Kompong Som (poor road conditions) and check-in at the
hotel.
Lunch at a local restaurant and afternoon at leisure.
Day 04
Kompong Som
Breakfast at local restaurant and city tour then day at leisure.
Lunch and dinner at a local restaurant.
Accommodation at hotel.
Day 05 Kompong Som / Phnom Penh
Breakfast at a local restaurant.
Time at leisure before driving back to Phnom Penh.
(Guaranteed daily departure on private tour basis, with full-board)
Note: The best time to travel to the South Coast is from October
to May.
